If it's anything like silent hill's horror and resident evil's action, I'll be happy.
Heh. Look at the platforms on the box: Xbox 2, PS3, and PC.
Nintendo's already falling behind.
Its gonna be just like that, except with the Sega Suck.Quote:

so are there pics in the mag or what?
Wait so Nintendo not getting it ,but since it's Sega it's going to suck so is that a good thing or bad thing or....just forget it.Quote:

Companies have to start getting the word out, remnant. This is the 2nd next-gen game I know of that has been announced and its also the 2nd game thats not for "Revolution". The first being Elder Scrolls 4. Its not a good situation for Nintendo.Quote:

Who cares really? E3 is a few months away and chances are both those games are trying to get as much press as possible becuase they both suck and will be over shadowed at E3.
yes Comdemned is a ironic title.
They just announced Madden 2006 - 2010 and NFS: Whogivesafuck 1-3 for the PS3, Xbox 2, and Personal Computer.
MEGATON!
SHUT UP ALREADY!Quote:

They'll get right on that after the president of the comany gets done with taking the Mickey D's orders and remembering the names of his co-workers.
But the Xbox 2 and PS3 are probably going to have at least 6 months to a year inbetween them...
I'm going to need more than that picture to make a comment.
Here's a link to some more info and screens of the game (Game Informer scans). Its developed by Monolith (the N.O.L.F. dudes??!!) and published by Sega.
yep.. Its developed by Monolith, developers of the wonderful "No One Lives Forever" series and the upcoming pc game F.E.A.R which looks great as well. Now I'm pumped up for this!
Condemned screens
Well, I wasn't interested till you mentioned Monolith. Now I'm hyped.
Are we sure its not the Xenosaga Monolith people?
Because Monolith NOLF is working on a survival horror game of their own which looks a hell of a lot better than this.
edit: it is the Monolith NOLF people. Ew.
Graphics are... meh.
Wow, that doesn't look half bad. But it's Sega, I'd be surprised if it wasn't riddled with invisible walls and restrictions. Plus, Monolith ruined Xenogears. Xenogears was about the gameplay, religious ground roots and the mechs and shit. Now it's about pretentious shit nobody can get into and boring gameplay.Quote:

I saw Sega and survival horror and the first thing that came to mind was Deep Fear. Made me think...meh, but with Monolith involved, I am very interested.
I enjoyed Tron 2.0... it was no NOLF2... but it was still fun.Quote:

This is the second Sega/Monolith thing, then.
The environments and character designs look nice, but yeah, some of the characters do look fake-looking, now.
I'll go ahead and announce Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Star Fox, and F-Zero. Wow, how will the PS3 and Xcommode keep up? Sony has already won. I just hope I have the self controll to not buy the other two this time. I don't have time to support three systems anymore.Quote:

If those are the actual graphics the next gen looks like shit and is pointless.
And if this generation is any indication three of those games will be not worth talking about. And the other two will only be good if Nintendo can get Sega and the Texans at Retro to strike gold again.Quote:

Overall the game was an entertaining experience, but outside of the hand-to-hand combat it never came with anything fresh. It lacked that real erie feel of SH and it's shock level didn't match that of any RE.
My biggest complaint with the game is that it held your hamd thru all the puzzles (forensic collection), if you can even call them puzzles. They were more like mildly-interactive cutsceens.
Second biggest complaint is the design of the last level. I'll leave it at that.
Worth a rental or a purchase at <$30, but nothing more.
Monolith has let me down with both this and FEAR. Both good games, but both lacked that NOLF polish.
PC version is $40, which is more attractive than the $60 of the X360 version. I agree that the forensic stuff seems limited, but I think this game is scarier than RE or silent hill.
Nice demo. It ran well on my pc with just about everything on maximum (turned off soft shadows). I noticed that my fps shot up big time when I turned off "fullscreenFX" from the advanced video settings. Other than adding a fuzzy filter effect I have no clue what that does except slow the game down a bit. I'll pick the game up when it hits 30 bucks or less.
That turns on post-processing effects that show up at various points for dramatic purposes.
It may seem so at first, but it runs it's course after 2 or 3 levels. I pretty much think any of the Silent Hills or Fatal Frames pretty much run laps around Condemned when it comes to scaryness.Quote:

Condemned = Hobo Fighter 2005

WE GET IT! YOU DON'T LIKE NINTENDO. No one gives a shit!
Why do you waist so much time on them? It's funny and sad at the same time. :bang:

If you successfully block an attack you can quickly counterattack with your weapon (press the attack buttom immediately after a block..it should be a quick attack). After you counterattack give 'em a nice kick in the ass.Quote:

BUT all of these attacks are blockable, so you just have to get good at reading your opponent. That's a big part of the fun of the combat in Condemned.Quote:

The entry items are just how Condemned handles its lock and key puzzles. They generally put a few of whatever you need in the area.Quote:
