Tastes great. There is actually a lot more you can do with vegetarian food then with meat, from a culinary art standpoint. You just have to learn to do it.

Actually, carnivorous species generally do not have long intestinal tracts.
However, I am not here to argue or preach to anyone about my lifestyle, which I generally don't advertise because I really don't want to try and shove my beliefs down peoples throat. I was really posting to offer experienced support to "noobs" or those who might be interested in trying it, as it has been one of the best choices I've ever made for myself.

i've gone through periods where i've been vegitarian for a week at a time or so. I just get too hungry, my body starts to wear down too much, and i feel like i'm never full. It's too much hassle to have to eat that much stuff just to have enough to live on.

What many people do when they first go vegetarian(myself included) is they eat just like they did before, just without the meat that was the staple of their diet, mainly bread and other starches. Try easing into it rather than going cold turkey- make sure you have a higher ratio of nutrient rich fruits and veggies(greens, etc.) than meat, and whatever meat you do eat, cut into small pieces, and "mix" them into your meal(think stir fry). Over a couple of weeks, ween yourself off of it this way.

I'm just curious, why do most people go vegetarian? Health or 'ethical' reasons? Not a yes/no question ;p
