That's actually how I feel too, I just don't have any real need right now to kill any animals for food.Quote:

I'm more or less a poultry-tarian or something like that, I guess. I mostly just eat various simple meals of chicken and a lot of grain foods.
vegetarian is fine, as long as you take supplements to make up for all the nutrients you're missing out on. I've no problem with it, but it's not my thing. I'd wither away if I didn't eat any fatty chicken and steak.
Vegetarians don't need to take supplements if they eat properly.Quote:

My girlfriend's been a veggie for over a year now. She's one of those bleeding-heart PETA people. I don't agree with her views, and I still eat meat, just now I have to cook it myself and listen to her whine. :\
Some of the dishes she makes are really good. I'm quite fond of that Tempeh stuff.
That tempeh is good stuff!
tell her that you're a man and for her to beef off.Quote:

Every single thing on the earth was an "introduced species" to its current ecosystem at one time or another.Quote:

Nature has a perfect system, evolution, to balance things out when there is change. In my view, "conservation" is not a case of keeping things as they are, but making sure change doesn't happen too quickly. I also think the distinction between "natural" and "artificial" is pretty much bullshit, so when Termites create giant structures using harvested minerals it's "natural", but when Humans do it it's "artificial". Oh, that's because Termites are SUPPOSED to build mounds, but we were NEVER supposed to make houses, in the same way our ancestors were NEVER supposed to climb down from the trees.
I tried going on a vegetarian diet, but they're much harder to catch then cows, and the meat is really stringy.
Yes, nature does have a perfect system. Cows have been naturally selected.Quote:

However, livestock of today's magnitude destroys the nearby ecosystems in a multitude of ways.
