I've always wanted to watch it. And for the record, I've yet to see Buckaroo Banzai either.
Cool character but that kid annoyed the hell out of me.

Fun movie. Absolutely silly, but if you understand that, you'll love it. Sort of the same way that Evil Dead / Army of Darkness works. The swordwork was a bit crap, though.
I just remember watching a clip where the Buddy Holly guy kills like 50 guys in a row with his sword.
And Death looks like Slash from Guns 'n Roses.
I agree with Shidoshi's take on this. Its silly, somewhat entertaining, if you can take it :)
Quite hard to find though, I rented mine from NetFlix few years back.

Just caught this On Demand (Comcast) for free. I still remember Shidoshi's review of this. Pretty entertaining movie.
