I currently have EvoX as my default dashboard, but I'm planning on changing it to UnleashX. I've seen the detailed tutorials about this on xbox scene, but I'm wondering if any of you have ever changed your default dashboard.
Also, I'm currently using UnleashX (and Avalaunch for that matter) as a secondary App, but I'm not sure where to put the skins for UX when it's not my priimary dash. Anyone know?
Should this be in Circuit Board?
I haven't had any reason to bother changing it form EvoX to something else..
why did you decide to change it?
Because UnleashX has awesome, animated intros, full animated game previews, it plays music for you on startup, really elaborate skins (including one that re-creates the Dreamcast boot sequence), and a gamesave manager.
Seems pretty awesome.
You can tell UX where the skins are. Check the settings.
UX > All.
Ok, so I just finished making it my default dash.
This is SOOOOOOOOOOOO much cooler than Evo X!
You can browse and download skins straight from the dashboard, you can download game saves straight from the dashboard, it auto renames files that are longer than 42 characters for you, it has a "boost" mode that lets you transfer stuff pretty quickly (I'll learn more about that later), it plays music for you while you're in the dash, and it's a HELL of a lot prettier.

I didn't know about that auto-rename thing. Is that for during FTP transfers?
Yeah. It's in the settings somewhere. I also like how it lets you auto update your dashboard.
I'm currently having problems FTPing through UX right now, but it's no biggie, 'cause I can just FTP in through XBMC until I figure out the problem.
Tain, how do I actually WATCH the previews for the games? I downloaded one for Def Jam FFNY through the dash, so I know it's in the right place, I just need to figure out how to access it.

The skinning system for that is so nice, though. It's pretty easy to make something that looks good.
