Aaron Heilman looks like a completely different pitcher from the way he stands on the mound (with that glare to the plate and the way he holds the glove), to the arm delivery and how his changeups move around the strikezone.

They all say the way he now pitches exactly how he pitched in college..so whoever changed him in the first place should be shot cause he did a poor job.

sorry, you have me confused with spodaddy. Place any of the top 3 teams in the AL east (Bos, Bal, or NYY) in the NL east and they'd win the division, no doubt in my mind. The Braves are the only real balanced team they have in there.

What about Soe? I haven't been paying too much attention, but the game I went to last week, he pitched a fucking gem.

Well after that gem they sent him to the minors and he threw another gem there (I think 6 scoreless innings). He more than deserves to be given a shot to stick around in the rotation.

I'd rather have Heilman and Seo in my rotation over Zambroken and Ishitii any day of the week at this point.

Sorry, but the Mets and Nationals aren't going to prove your case, and neither is Philly the way they're playing. The Drays suck, everyone knows that, but match up all the other teams in the two leagues from best to worst and the AL East is better. I'd say a lot better. I don't know where you're getting your expected wins and loses but pythagorean projections for the sox are even with thier record at 21-13 according to Baseball Prospectus (using second order wins they are only -1, which is insignificant). That puts them third behind the Braves and White Sox, and i hope you wouldn't try to argue that the White Sox are a better team. The Projections barely matter at this point anyway because of sample size, but you brought it up. Teams' records aren't even directly comperable because of different scsheduals and strength of opponents(and again i argue the sox are hurt by playing in the best division in the better league, whereas the Braves, etc are not). If you think i'm biased towards the sox you are right, but i'm not blind, and i do know the numbers that back it up. (unlike Spodaddy)

Guess which division is the only division to have every one of its team have a non-losing record against the other two divisions in the league? THE NL EAST. You have the Os who are overachieving, the Jays who are overachieving, and the Rays who suck. The only team overachieving in the NL East is the Nats, the Phillies are underachieving, and NONE of them suck. The Sox are only FIFTH in the EXPECTED W/L category.

But of course, all you have is "well, match them up". OK, the NL East still wins.
