In other wonderful Mets news.. the head groundskeeper at Shea was one of many who were indicted by the district attorney on grounds of running a huge gambling ring that benefitted the mafia (Bonanno crime family) among others.

No players or anyone in Mets management is thought to have played a part in this..but I feel this shot is kinda appropriate :)

Good. I hope the scumbag is gone from the game for life.

Oh well..the Yanks took 2 out of 3 from the Mets. The Mets defense just blew it in the two losses. Today the young infield of the Mets simply gave the Yanks the win..hopefully they'll learn from those terrible mistakes.

Pedro pitched well, though. So did Pavano. Really good game for pitching.

Man that AL East is sure showing the NL East who is boss this weekend...*much* tougher ;p

Yea.. the defense just blew the game and the Yanks took advantage like any professional team with experience should. The first game on friday was just sloppy altogether. From what I hear Willie Randolph was majorly peeved during the post game conferences and showed more emotion in those few minutes than Art Howe has shown here in 2 years.

Red Sox beat the Braves 2 out of 3 so the Mets will go to Turner Field and face a team that has lost 5 of their last 6 games.
