The sox announcers really are great. I think that baseball needs to take more care choosing thier announcers and exactly what type of person they should have calling games. Too many of them fall into the mold of the old boring ex-baseball player with the call style straight out of 1940s. And they wonder why interest in baseball is fading in america's youth! The announcers are more boring than math teachers. Get some entertaining, amiable folks that can carry the broadcast during the slow parts of games. I really believe the announcers are one of the biggest reasons boston baseball is so huge, even though the market is not that big at all.

When the Braves are in town the sox guys generally start kidding around, saying things like "the sox sure could use a HR here!". They make me laugh all the time.

Whats up with those Red Sox?? They are slowly crapping out with the Jays (who has looked good this season so far) sweeping them and now they head to Yankee Stadium.

Gotta give those Orioles some credit..they've played so well and I hope they stick around and make the AL East a great watch this summer.

John Sterling is clueless but his calls are hilarious and entertaining, which is more than can be said for 99 percent of announcers. Suzyn Waldman is a Boston fan but she does know her baseball.

"An A-Bomb from A-Rod!" "The Bamtino!" "Jorgie Juiced one!!!" "Bernie goes Boom! Bern baby Bern!" "A Jetarian shot!!" It's like hearing Dick Vitale talk, it's entertaining in and of itself.

The same thing happened tonight. Remy was saying stuff like "Our broadcast tonight doesn't even matter and the next two days they won't even let us sit in the booth." Of couse he is talking about the ESPN and FOX coverage. Or how about a couple weeks ago when the fan of the game had a joke that Remy and Orsillo didn't get, and because of it the two were just laughing for half an inning. Its good that commentators don't take the game too seriously.

But on the other hand, the Red Sox suck right now. Considering Schilling, Wells, and Foulke all have an ERA above 6 its pretty obvious where improvements could come from.
