Yeah, I was sort of interested in this until I saw the TV ads. Make the movie looks like total ass and sends my interest down the drain.

Ok I just watched all the TV ads I could find and fail to see how you can pull bad acting and the "movie looking like total ass" out of those. They are like 15 seconds long. In fact the first TV spot I saw was totally awesome. The only only suspect thing is when the little girl is talking. 2 more weeks.
OMG! I can't wait. DAY.ONE.WATCH. Excitement level went up +15.Quote:

You know whats sad? I have Starz and I didn't see this ... NOw I wanna kick my OWN ass.
Damn, I was just about to post that, as I haven't seen it around until today.
I 100% agree. I was excited before...but I'm fucking drooling now.
The Pyramid Head scenes are going to be fan-fucking-tastic!! :link:
Agree. I always had hope in this project, hence me making this damn thread way before anything was know, and with what we have seen it looks amazing.
Cant fucking wait.
I hated the Sil;ent Hill series, but I may have to play it now.
Oh heres the best thing to hear. My mom wants to see the movie. She saw the preview and was like WOW. This looks good. When I told her it was based off of a Game. She wanted to know more about it. Mind you she's close to 60. If you can get someone like a middle age mother to get excited for a movie thatsa based off of a Video Game ... you have something special.
I remember there being some initial worry on whether or not the theatrical verison of the film was going to be the real film the director wanted to make. I remember reading that the DVD would have all the deleted footage. Well Christophe Gans cleared it up on his blog the other day:
"Just to let you know that I am back after an immensely absorbing few weeks of editing, mixing and grading the film.
I have read that Silent Hill fans are worried that I have not been able to make the film that I wanted to make due to restrictions imposed by MPAA and the studio. Just to clarify that the film you will see is the Directors cut and has not been compromised in length or content. Throughout the entire process of making Silent Hill, I have been overwhelmed by the generosity and trust extended to me by the team at TriStar Pictures. It is very exciting to work with people who are as concerned and respectful about successfully depicting the world of Silent Hill as I am. "
Can't wait.
Longest. 10 days. Ever.
