Stop thinking about what "we as black people" contribute and start thinking about what YOU as a single person in a world full of people that contribute nothing will contribute. I don't deserve credit for anything any other males, tall people, smart guys, employed people, Americans, Car Owners, or Videogame players, have ever done. Why would I be proud that other White guys have contributed anything? I don't know them, they don't relate to me. People these days are segregating themselves much more than they are being segregated, and everybody is learning by their actions and following suit. I understand it helps to find motivation in people that you perceive were in your shoes, but if the only thing you and a long since dead person had in common was pigment, you need to look harder for role models.
