Major mod controversy

I'm posting here to spread the word about a group of theifs who have gone as low as is possible in the modding community. I am trying to raise awareness so that they may never be accepted in the modding community again.
The reason I am posting is because I am a team member of one of the modifications that had game art stolen. It is in our interests to make sure people like this do not ruin the modding community for good.

Ya, TNL isn't exactly a PC gaming kind of forum. We get the odd person who enjoys them, but mostly the people here care about Japan, its games, and how the various consoles suck/dont suck. Forget about seeing anything other than the above here.

Where the fuck have you been? We care less about Japan every day, and only sheltered idiots are console-only gamers these days.

Well, sheltered idiots is your comment, not mine. But this isn't a PC gaming community, thats what I was trying to get across. Aside from you, diff, and me, I don't recall too many people who consistantly talk about PC games.

My problem is that mod makers sometimes take themselves too seriously. It seems a little disingenous to get riled up because someone took a texture/model from you when you are making a living off of hacking up someone else's code.

What they do is great, and extends the lifespan of certain games ... but don't carry yourself like you're the second coming of John Carmack.

When I first read the title I thought "Oh no, some mod chip users did something to get a big company mad and now we import gamers are gonna pay. Then I read what this is really about and I think.....thank goodness that's not the case. No offense.

The point isn't that this is or is not a PC community, the point is that this is not a community where asking for sympathy will get you very far.
