Dating older women

I thought I'd start this thread after looking at the other one. Recently I dated two women who were about two years older than me. The first one was cool, I didn't really know her age beforehand, eventually after a few dates she said that she wasn't interested in a relationship at the moment (or so she says). The second one was I met through my aunt, she was also pretty nice but she says she kinda thinks of me as a little brother or friend at the moment.

What do you guys think? Are most women open to dating younger guys? Do they change their minds over time or is it more like a "stuck as a friend" type of deals?

I've never dated an older woman but, here's a few comments.

- Unless you're a teenager, I don't really see a difference of 2 years being that big of a deal.

- The general thought is that women date older men, men date younger women.

- From my experience of having girls or are friends that are older then me, I am always thought of as a "little brother". I have two friends who are girls from work right now that are 2 years older than me who I hang out with regularly outside of work who reffer to me as their "little brother" all the time. It sucks because they have no interest in dating you but still get very diffensive over who is good enough for you.

Havent dated many older women. I've had teh sex with a few older ones ( I want to say the oldest was 33). Oh, and I lost my virginity to a much older woman - although I think all men have (at least every dude I met has). Like I said no relationships though, not that I wouldnt, its just the option hasnt really presented itself.

Like I said in the other thread (Dating Younger Women)...females see men younger then their actual age. If you're 25, they consider you 20. If you're 30, they see you as 25. Why? For whatever reason, they feel we act 5 years younger then we really are. Thats probably why the second one sees you as a friend/little brother.

As for the first one, maybe she means it. If not, then thats just a easy way of putting you down without hurting you. I had that said to me by someone I was dating. Next thing you know it, 2-3 weeks later, shes with someone.

It is true they feel that way, but it is also bullshit.

I've dated older women, even in high school when they are normally against it. The entire thing about women maturing faster is a stupid myth. It got started because it is more obvious when girls hit puberty. You can see their boobs get bigger, but no one sees all the subtle things that happen to guys. (btw, this isn’t some random bullshit I made up, I saw it on TLC, so =P )

In my own experience they are just as mature, and sometimes, less mature than the guys of the same age. They may act more serious than their male friends of the same age, but their opinions and beliefs sometimes are a lot more naive and foolish. Being serious does not = maturity.

A lot of girls perpetuate the myth to lift them selves up or to explain why the guys around them don't understand them. Other girls use it as a nice way of saying "I like money and/or a guy to have enough experience with girls to not fuck up and break my heart” which has nothing to with her being as mature as him.

If you want one of those friends then show it. Get em drunk, grab that ass, and see what goes down (hopefully her on you).

Well, one of them I actually am starting to want nothing to do with, not even on a friendship level. Plus, she's fat so I never really wanted anything to do with her on a sexual level.

The other, well, she is quite a looker. Model skinny, nice blonde hair, very pretty. She's dating one of my best friends though. I'm definitly not one to get between two people in a relationship, especially when it's between two good friends.

1) don't become her friend. Be nice, but don't talk to her about her problems, and don't tell her how much you hate your mother and how your dad beat you. Keep contact to a fun minimal.
2) Smile, ask her how she is doing, and listen. Offer as little advice as possible. She will either think you are a good listener, or that you don't care. Both will make her hot.

You know what they say about girls? They are like Monkeys, they don't let go of one branch, until they got their hands firmly on the other.

5)oh and look her in the face when you talk to her. Apparently it bothers her when you look around when you talk. Girls are wieird, and stupid.

A little too late for that. I basically helped the two of them get together in the first place. At the time I had my long time girlfriend so while I was attracted to this chick I didn't think twice about hooking my friend up with her and we definitly became "share our problems with each other and complain about our parents buddies". I'm afraid that this one is pretty much lost. :(
