Nintendogs

Anyone have success getting a dog to do beg/stand? Mine won't learn it. It'll get it right three or four times, then just start giving me blue and red confusion question marks. I know about mirror tricks (they can learn the same trick on each side, left or right) so I've tried only teaching him one side over and over... He doesn't seem to want to learn it.

Yeah, I got a second puppy today (husky) and she looks awful with it on. But I love how it looks on my Shih Tzu. Now I've got to find one of those pirate hats.

Agility championships are pretty rough, compared to disc (I already won it twice consecutively with my first husky). There's way too much shit on the field for the final agility trial, it's kind of rough to get through without accidently faulting by confusing your dog with hitting the wrong jump and pulling back, thus messing their run line for the real target. Haven't been able to trump third in it yet. I also screwed up teaching some commands, so once in the championship for obedience, the thing always does beg instead of another command. Going to re-teach a few things.

And I finally figured out the blinking pee spots on walks. When you get into a '?' meeting with another dog and the pee spots blink blue, it's a territory thing. They mark their space and the dogs are far more likely to fight in these situations. Silly, huh?

My dogs are going to hate me :( I was working in another store yesterday and when I went back this morning before I came back to my store, I didn't grab the DS so they are gonna starve today...

Finally got a DS guys, should I get Nintendogs now or wait for the holiday edition? Is the holiday edition going to have new breeds?

The speculation I've seen about this "Holiday Edition" (has Nintendo even confirmed that it exists?) is that it's not a full version of the game, but rather an expansion pack that goes in the GBA slot and requires one of the existing versions to run.

Nintendo hasn't said anything about it, but it's on every major retailer's computer

Ok, I finally picked this up and I have a Shih Tzu named Rocco. I have a question: Is there a limit on how many dogs I can have? I'd like to have at least one of each breed.

Nope, you can only have eight at a time - three in your house and five at the dog hotel.
