i shelled out a mere $20 for 2k5 on friday and it's possibly the best investment i've made since jr college. i'm loving the way this game looks and plays - nice improvements over last year. and the addition of the baserunning control is solid. mlb is the goods.

I just got it as well. I really like the pitching/hitting duels you can have in the game. Everything feels right. Honestly though, I've only got to play a few games since Devil May Cry has been taking my time as of late. Have you played it online yet? If so, were your matches lag-free?

Though your view does have me concerned. I'm still going to pick this one up. A last hurrah for the ESPN license and Visual Concepts as a Sega developer.
I still manage to enjoy myself when I pick it up and play every once in a while, but it really needs a human opponent to become enjoyable, which is why XBL is a must.Quote:

got it friday and it's been occupying my x-box ever since. Very very solid game. Pitching is much improved over last year and baserunning is fun though tricky at first. Also my hat is off to 2k5 for the realistic look and feel of the game as well as excellent player control. I have to admit that I was sort of a fallen away baseball game fan, due to the quality of games in recent years. But mlb 2k5 has gone a long way towards bringing me back into the fold, so to speak. At last a baeball game that's fun instead of frustrating.
