I finally sat down and finished it before I really get going on SC CT and DOOM 3. The ending was cool IMO. Last boss battle was lame though and the very last little action part was poo also. But what happend story wise was really great.

The skill thing is such a fanboy excuse for what's obviously shitty level design. I didn't have any problem with the logs, but the spinning wall was a joke. It was glitchy and too long. It's a good game, but it's not game of the year or anything, and I can count several games that get praised around here that are better than God of War.Quote:

I fell through the floor on the spinning wall. That said once I got the hang of it I didn't mind. I climbed the second one my first try. I actually thought it was fun.Quote:

I'm just a tool like that. And I love this game.
Finished it. It isn't the best game ever, or even the best of 2005, but it's a really good game despite some frustrating parts and the shitty final boss. It'll probably be the best game on the PS2 this year, and it's just one more example of the superiority of western developers.
What was a better game this year? Don't even say RE4 because that is bullshit.
I'm beginning to lose count of how often I have stood directly in the face of an enemy with a circle over its head, pounded on the circle button, and nothing happened. I also am not impressed with the jumping or 4-way evading controls. God of War still is a great game w/ an awesome soundtrack & a refreshingly wide range of available difficulty settings. I wouldn't rate it as high as 9/ or 10/10, though.
Glass Joe is just RE4 bias :(.
Ummm, Resident Evil 4. Gran Turismo 4. Devil May Cry 3.Quote:

Eh, it's debateable, but Devil May Cry 3 definitely has less retarded design thrown into the good stuff. I'd also say Devil May Cry 3's combat engine is a lot deeper. God of War is a lot easier a game, but DMC3 gets some of its difficulty from just cheap hits and crap camera placement.Quote:
