My college friend is in jail

So I know this girl from school, Alexis, and most of the time she's kind of a bitch. She's 25, behind on her credits, a complete social cretin, and pretty damn ugly to boot.

But now, I can add criminal to that list. She was arrested yesterday for defrauding buyers on Ebay for more than 10,000 dollars worth of products that she never owned (Electronics, Musical Instruments, Theme Park tickets.) I first heard about via phone call from my girlfriend, and later saw it on the news.

Anyway, it's kind of a shocker to have someone you talk to nearly every day all of a sudden have their biggest affront to the law suddenly revealed. If convicted, she could see up to four years in prison. In a way, I sort of feel sorry for her. Her career is ruined, the college is likely to expel her, she's doing jail time, and she's lost all her friend's trust.

Obviously I don't condone any of what she did, and truth be told, I didn't like her all that much, but there's something to be said about witnessing another person's life literally falling apart.

I talk to people who have been verbally degraded by their families, gone through hell I can only imagine, and live lives that have never even begun to be put together, yet alone fall apart.

It's heartwrenching and painful sometimes, but none of them deserve it or do much to cause it. This idiot did it herself and for people like her, I don't give a shit. I talk to the people who get fucked over, I have no mercy for those who fuck others over.

Reminds me of that cock sucker who owned me out of a 80 bucks for a antique guitar wahwah.

Having said that, I don't have any pitty for her.

It doesn't matter where you are, when you do shit that affects people's money things are real and serious. That goes for the web just like it goes for your local grocery.

This thread reminds me of the friend I used to have up till I moved here cause he sold me a car awhile back that kicked the bucket and offered me another one for my PS2 (pre 1000 series not to mention) which turned out to be an unfinished peice of junk I wouldn't even pay $50 for.
