Seriously though, I don't enjoy cold weather at all, Alaska wouldn't be the place for me, if you can deal with long winters and whatnot that's cool (and I do agree that above 90 is really fucking hot).

There is now way it would be more money. In order to legalize, they government would need to undermine the black market by providing it for a cheaper price. If it was more expensive there would be no reason to buy the "legal" shit.

Way harder. You can throw marijuana seeds in your backyard, and if they have the smallest bit of sunlight, you will have some sort of plant. While it won't be the best chiba (or average for that matter), it will be chiba.

In addition to the other points people made (bottled water, tobacco), weed is really temperamental. If you dont treat it just right its not gonna happen. I think people would rather go to Whole Foods and pay the people and pay the government and actually know theyre getting decent stuff.

Technically, it isn't "legal" in Amsterdam. It has been decriminalized (not sure what the differnce is) and is generally tolerated by the government, but you can still get in trouble for lighting up in public if someone complains.

I'd like to get some actual statistics, but I've heard that countries with decriminaliztion/tolerance for soft drug use don't have the same problems with substance abuse that we have here in the states. Due to the fact that they actually educate kids about the dangers of drugs and alcohol, the government has removed the mystique/taboo of doin illegal shit.
