It seems like a lot of you have your own websites. Could any of you tell me the steps one must meet, and what you have to know/have in this day and age to have your own site?
Any help would be appreciated.
Remember, if I'm working on my own site, I'm not here posting.

It can be really easy or hard, depending on what kind of content you want to host and how you want to display it.
http://www.w3schools.com/ - They have great tutorials to learn the basics for making pages and whatnot. There are literally zillions of hosting sites out there and many are free, check 'em out.
Eh, I don't know anything about hosting.
The content for the site wouldn't really be for anything exactly. It wouldn't be a fan site or anything like that. Maybe just a place to post pictures, and things I've written.
I may make a part for ranting so TNL can be spared a bit of that.
If you get a host with PHP and MySQL, you can run WordPress (http://www.wordpress.org/). It's a really simple and easy blog thing and it's a snap to photoblog/rant/whatever you want to do.
Well, I want it to look nicer than the web did back in 96.
I'd like to have a little side bar with the names of stuff, to make it easy on people to navigate.
