Based on real life experience, I have a weak belief that cola preference has some correlation with intelligence, since every intelligent person I know drinks the same one. I want to see if the same holds up on TNL. Make your choice, bitches.

PEPSI 4 LIFE!
What is the correlation?
I like RC cola the best for some strange reason, but I collect Coke Memorabillia. Coke is good though. Pepsi is just rot-gut
I like Pepsi because there is no Dr. Pepper.
Where is the 'I'm a fence-sitting pussy' option you're so famous for?
What if I like Pepsi, but drink Sprite (Coke product)?
I am so confused.
Public polls are queer.
I like Wendy's, and they have Coke.
But I like Taco Bell, and they have Pepsi D=
I usually drink water. What do I win?
There really ought to be an, "I don't drink soda often enough for it to matter," option.
Back in high school, I drank a lot of Coke products for a while, then my buddies and I had a period where we went to Taco Bell every Tuesday and had Pepsi. So I think it evened out back when I drank soda a lot. I don't know what to vote!
Also, Mzo reminded me I haven't had fast food in two and a half months.
Drink Sierra Mist instead.Quote:

i got that new lime coke, it's ok but not as good as the regular. i'm a coke drinker but my favorite cola used to be ghetto Adirondak cola. I'm thinking RC cola is somehow important to this hypothesis, otherwise why would it even be there? I've never known anyone that drinks it.
Diet whatever for me.
I almost always drink Coke (I really like Vanilla coke). But I also miss RC and have not had it in quite some years.
Coke > all other pops.
Water and Snapple. Sometimes Gatorade.
Pepsi.
Since I am a twinkie away from becoming diabetic (thanks dad) I've been drinking Diet. Problem is I HATE diet coke and pepsi.
But add a little vanilla or cherry and I am there.
The new Diet Cherry Pepsi makes me its bitch.
Nugrape 4 life!

It's not new... it's been around for years, but they just changed the packaging so they could advertise it as "new".Quote:

It's about as reliable as saying anyone who drinks "Jones" is a douche bag, just because I knew a few people that were douche's, and they drank Jones (and had to remind everyone about it every day).
cola is pretty awful. I drink lots of water and pure fruit juices.
But when I have to pick...come on. You have to take the sweet stuff. Pepsi, out of a can only, owns Coke.
But Coke = better with liquor.
I clicked the "welfare" choice, which is pretty bizarre seeing as the soda I drink is more expensive than Pepsi or Coke. I go through a bottle or two of Moxie a day, and at $1.40 apiece it adds up. Worth it, though.
James
I drink Pepsi, I used to like Coke but became a Pepsi man over-time.
Not the diet. Its never been here in New England. Regular has been around for a while though.Quote:

So since I eat more western food with cola, I choose Coke.
It's obvious that the smarter people drink Pepsi... George W Bush consumed a lot of Coke in his younger years.
I chose coke because I went to the coke factory in atlanta and all of the propaganda there said that pepsi is bad because they ripped off of coke, so pepsi bad and coke good. Yay propaganda!!!!
pepsi.
Drink of god(s)
That Diet Cherry Pepsi is made from the exact same ingredients as all of the other diet sodas: aspartame. It tastes almost exactly the same, you just don't know it. Your stomach converts aspartame into formaldehyde. It's all the same dreadful shit.Quote:

Pepsi by itself, Coke when mixed with other things.
Moxie is awesome. I only discovered it when I moved to Boston, but it's a wonderful thing. The problem is, I can only get it at Shaws, and I never want to lug a lot of it back to my place.Quote:

Not really sure if this has anything to do with anything, but its kind of funny. In gradeschool we did some bogus "science fair" thing where we had lame ass experiments. Well one year I had a taste test to see which lemon lime flavored pop people liked the most between unmarked cups of Sprite, 7up, a few other brands, and that shitty Shasta (apartment brand as I called it) stuff. Turns out that everyone liked Shasta the best. Just thought it might be interesting...
I well not respond,

Actually I don't drink much soda these days. And I can barely tell the difference between Pepsi and Coke anymore.
I always liked RC, but it's a hard find anymore.
And I'd rather drink water than any diet cola. Awful crap.
I mainly stick to Iced Tea these days, but I chose Coke.

Personally, I don't drink alot of the main brands anymore. I just keep grabbing for offhand types like Topo Chico and what-not.
Other types I enjoy are Brisk or orange flavor soda.
I don't drink cola by default, but given being very thirsty, I will take Pepsi over the others. I have never had RC before, though, and nobody in my house drinks Coke so go figure.
i drink everything but diet (fuck nutrasweet), usually random, but coke more often than not
In South Texas, Dublin to be exact. One of the original Dr Pepper plants is the last plant to still manufacture their soda with Pure Cane sugar.
This stuff has the greatest after-taste, 100 times better than the corn syrup. My buddy goes hunting down there every so often and always brings me back a few cases. truely amazing how different it used to be
Oh man, that pure cane was the best when we used to have it. Sucks the way soda is now that I just take to water every time I think of getting any.
I've read some bad things about Splenda as well, though.Quote:

Coke.
I thought it was the caramel coloring that was bad for you?
I don't drink cola, as said in the Cream Soda vs. Root Beer thread I only drink gingerale. However, when I do feel like a cola I go for Coke. I used to drink coke when I liked dark sodas.
I prefer Pepsi by itself and Coke with food. Except for when I'm eating gyros. Then I prefer RC.
I'm a real connoisseur, eh?
Looking at the results, I'm in damn good company on the Pepsi side.
Which is more sugary, Coke or Pepsi? I'll take the one that is less sugary.
Coke. But it tastes like cigarette ashes.
This is definitely true. RC goes really well with pizza too.Quote:

RC is AMAZING with popcorn.
Another great thing about RC: 3 liters for 99 cents.
Coke makes my teeth feel gritty after I drink it, even with food. And RC is rare around these parts, except at a local burger joint. But I can't say tha RC is any better than Pepsi, because its really not.
So, Pepsi it is.

I'm actually kind of surprised by how few people wander off the beaten path. 52 (at time of writing) for the Coke/Pepsi crowd, a whopping 7 looking in from the outside wondering what the big deal is with those two brands.

Fuck Dr. Pepper.

Holy shit I just remeber how good cola flavored candy is.

I just go for the cheapest diet soda I can find. If I could always get it the cheapest then I'd drink Diet Rite exclusively (since it's the only one made with splenda). But I honestly can't tell the difference 99% of the time.

Yeah, Coke from a can tastes like cigarette ashes. Why is that? And I think I've mentioned this before, but Coke from McDonald's is about a hundred times better than store-bought.
The stuff was meant to be served in bottles. Coke from glass bottles is a hundred times better. It's a delicacy.
Are you talking the kind you get in Mexican restaurants or American Coke in bottles?
Anyone else try that Moxie stuff James brought to E3?
Mexican Coke rules, from what someone told me they use some kind of syrup not used here in the us
The way I see it, if you're gonna pump liquid sugar into your body anyways, you may aswell go all out. Its not like pepsi is a healthy alternative.Quote:

Moxie is an acquired taste, or so I'm told. The first time I drank it, I thought it was disgusting, but when I finished my first can, I wanted more. I think I finished my first six pack in two days. I'm a big fan of the stuff, in fact, I have a bottle in a friend's fridge right now and I really wish it was here. It's not really a cola, though, so I don't think it applies to this thread, really.Quote:

I don't drink soda, stuff rots your teeth, but when I did, I drank Pepsi. I just find it to be a little less flat tasting then coke.
Actually, I think having properly working taste buds allows you to know that Coke and Pepsi taste quite different.Quote:

It's the best soda, for cleaning a car battery. Try using something like Sprite and you'll get a little fiz. You'll have to wipe it off and apply the Sprite again. Coke cleans it on the first run.Quote:

Coca Cola is where it's at.
Diet Coke now comes in a "sweetened with Splenda variety". It's easily identified by the blue stripes on the bottle.
I slammed back a 20 oz yesterday. For something that's supposed to taste like sugar because it's made from sugar, this shit still tastes like diet soda. It's not terrible but it's not the miracle I thought it would be.
Had I a choice, I would pick it over the nutrasweet stuff anyday.
Coca Cola is shit , pepsi is where its at
Coke is a lot better.
Uwe drinks Fanta
