While at shopping the other day I found a box of this:

I can’t help but remember the 80s when we got lots of cool awesome cartoon related cereals. One of the most awesome being the Ghostbusters cereal. I think my parents were cheep and just got me lucky charms instead. But damn was the box to that cereal cool.
Anyone else still eat cartoon themed cereal? Or have any fond memories of them as a child?

The Ralston ones like Batman and Bill and Ted usually came with huge plastic crap attached to the boxes like a piggy bank or a cassette holder. I also remember having the glow-in-the-dark ghostbusters lightswitch panel on my switch for years.
Now that I think about it, Ralston probably cornered the market on this stuff. In fact, Batman, Tiny Toons, Addams Family and Bill and Ted all tasted the same. The only difference were the shapes of the cereal.
Ninja Turtle pies were awesome, as well. They were chocolate covered pies with vanilla filling.Quote:

I can't believe I forgot about Spongbob Cereal. The shit was like 2 dollars a box the week it came out and I ended up buying like 5 boxes worth. It's really really good. I'm not sure what it is but I hope Kelloggs keeps making it. Perhaps even making a new shitty mascot and adding it to it's normal line of cereals.

I used to eat Spider-man cereal.
Like, every day, for almost every meal. It tasted like shit, but I loved Spider-man too much to know better.
Gosh...Ninja Turtles cereal was amazing. I can still remember how it tastes as well. I would kill for some of that shit.
That Ninja Turtles cereal was the shit. I especially liked the Batman one. I remember me and my brother digging in the couch for change whenever we finished the box so we could buy another one.
I had hologram shirts for both Ninja Turtles and Ghostbusters cereal, from mail-in offers.
That is, by far, my top choice. That stuff was so damn good. Later, they had a Spiderman cereal that was basically the same thing. (Frosted corn Chex + marshmallows.)Quote:

I remember nerds cereal, I thought it was awesome cause you got two different flavored cereals for the price of one. Why don't they have gimmicks like that anymore? But my all time favorite cereal even though it isn't cartoon based has to be Smores Grahams, that was the ultimate cereal, golden grahams, marshmellows, and chocolate all in one box, you can't beat that. Now they have this new smores cereal that tastes like shit so every once in awhile I make my own Smores Grahams by mixing golden grahams miniature marshmellows and chocolate chips, then I put it in the microwave to melt the chocolate chips and make the marshmellows nice and crunchy. There you have it kids homemade smores grahams.
Lucky Charms cost $4 here, BUT why buy those when you can buy a big ass bag of Marshmallow Maties for like $3 and get like twice as much.
