Silent Hill 4: The Room = stupid.
Beatmania IIDX whatever is something I don't care about and honestly don't consider it a videogame generally speaking. Its a music game mainly.

It's because you type just like how everyone in that game talks.Quote:

Like asking for a game of Lucky Hit. Ninjas, I can see that being the case rather easily.
MGS3, Ys: Ark of Napishtim, and Gradius V give Konami a pass, in my book. They are churning out a lot of crap, though.Quote:

I'm sorry, but that was really funny.
I'm not sorry really.
Actually, I think PSO is the best game in the series. Its atmosphere feels like I always felt the older games should've, and some of the rare weapons you got were seriously cool. And running through Ragol w/voice chat + sarcastic TNLers = hilarity ensues.Quote:

One of my favourite systems ever.
And then this generation came, and it was like...wow, I don't know if they laid off all their talented staff or what. They've had a few gems: Shinobi was one of the coolest Ninja games I've ever played. Pretty much everyone can agree Monkey Ball's fun. Panzer Dragoon Orta should make Nintendo too ashamed to ever release a Starfox rail shooter again. When they still owned Visual Concepts they pumped out some of this generation's best sports games. VF4 was good. Upgraded versions of Rez & PSO were great...and that's about all I can think of. I've heard Gunvalkyrie's good, one day I'll get around to it.
But Jet Set Radio Future was flawed. Otogi is pretty one dimensional (yeah yeah, I know they only published it). And I don't really want to list their other bad games. They're on a pretty cold streak right now....maybe we can all blame Sammy?
Okay, yes, I added some games Sega only published ,but the fact is that Sega has CLEARLY been trying to make inroads as a publisher, and this is the stuff theyve been able to release. Its pitiful. And these games ARE coming out with the Sega name stamped on them. Thus, people will associate them with Sega.
And yea, Headhunter Redemption. I forgot a few games, really. I think Otogi is pretty bad, 9/10th of its appeal is substance, the gameplay is shoddy. And honestly, is anyone predicting success for Matrix Online? Nightshade was a shit sequel to Shinobi. Samurai Jack and Astro Boy PS2 were both ridiculously bad licensed games. Spy Fiction was a half-assed stealth game. Virtual On: Marz was embarrassing. The list goes on.
I enjoyed playing Outrun 2. Sure it's not a big seller, but I give props to Sega for delivering the game to it's fans.
I love how everyone is jumping on the bandwagon, to dis on PSO. It was a great game for it's time and was a console first, in allowing gamers from Europe, Japan and N. America to all play together. The game is really a great looking game. Like NeoZ said, Dark Falz was truely fantastic in PSO. The whole setting leading up to the battle, is one of the greatest moments in online gaming, for me.
Sega's roots are from the arcades and for the most part, that's what most of it's console games have been, arcade style games.
They've hit quite a few bumps along the way, but look at titles like Gun Valkyrie and F-Zero and it's evident that the talent is still there. They just need a few ground breaking titles in the next generation, to change people's views of them as a gaming company.
