I really hope that 2.6 has been hacked, because I want my firmware updated.
More importantly, however... what in the hell is this? (Early version of WW?)

Looks like the insect section of the museum.Quote:

Wait...version 2.0 was hacked already? What firmware would a system on the shelf these days have?
supposedly:

Thanks for the link, interesting. I noticed myself a few days ago that he had cracked 2.6 for Tetris. The article seems a little off though:Quote:

Sure, up and downgrading can't be overly healthy for your PSP, but OTOH methinks Mr. Graft is exaggeratting a bit here for Sony's sake.Quote:
Next Gen: Playing countless classic games on a PSP may be appealing to many, but would-be hackers often end up rendering their systems useless or crippled after going through the series of firmware upgrading and downgrading that is required for extensive homebrew and emulated play.
Anyways, I wonder how long till Sony starts going after Fanjita? I love my emulators but when other folks download ISOs so much (not talking about u Bandit since I know you buy ur games and do it solely to keep your homebrew experiments burning) ya can't blame them for wanting to curtail piracy. I guess firmware updates is the price we pay for having region free games, huh? I also wonder if PS3 will have firmware updates since it also is going to be region free for Jap and U.S. games.
Sorry, another n00b question, anyone know if Lexar 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo works w/ PSP? Fry's has it for $39.99 after rebate, was gonna pick it up but the salesguy told me it won't work because it doesn't say "for gaming". I thought it was BS, but wasn't sure so I didn't get it yet.
He's stupid. Unless there's a new technology out that I know of where you swap a circuit to turn off the "gaming".
So wait, I can upgrade to 2.6 and still play my emus?
Right now it's just Tetris that you can play on 2.6. But considering Fanjita's excellent track record so far, yes you will be able to.Quote:
