Yoyo is fighting again strong instability for the 0.4
We are actually thinking that there is no real way of improving that for now.
Most likely we have missing info about something that Sony may know and not us.
By just changing the ORDER of the malloc in the code, the emu behave differently with ME activated. It is really weird. When the same code run on one cpu everything is fine again.
We are seriously stuck I would say... (We never used information from official SDK)
So it may be the limit of doing it in homebrew for the time beeing.

From yoyofr:
as laxer3a wrote, there's really some issues with ME, but :
1/ even if the ME version cannot be fixed, we'll release it. Depending on some internal coding stuff, it's sometimes playable, sometimes not.
2/ if we get fed up fighting with ME, sourcecode will be released so other can try to improve
3/ it might be hardware related (the bus used for ram access being too busy when both main cpu and ME work at the same time with strong memory usage) ,
but I hope not."
oh well
SNES run near perfect already. Nothing is ever perfect. Just get multiplayer and everyone will be happy. Regardless 0.3 is the best SNES emu out there.
Yeah, like Bandit said, TYL is an amazing emu for what it is. Too bad constant firmware updates have pretty much buried it for new PSP owners though. :(
yeah but I heard that when they did the thing with the sound & APU or whatever, games would run on the 0.4 as they with on the 0.3 without sound
which = MASSIVE speed boost & full speed for nearly every major SNES game
theres still always hope though...
On TYL, there are speed hacks or whatever its called to make it faster. Mario Kart is one that pops into mind. The moment you load it, it says "speed hack enabled/loaded" or something like that.Quote:

So, I read a couple of pages, but I'm still not clear on this:
I have a 2.5 PSP, can I run the Fajitas program to make my NES emulator work again, or do I need to buy GTA to make it work, or is there no way to make it work?
Also, I only have the 32mb mem card. :(
32MB is fine for just NES emulator + games. You might even fit SNES on there as well. Since you have 2.5, you can run Fanjitas eLoader to play your emus. You will need GTA inorder for it to work since it uses the GTA save game exploit. Without GTA, you cant use it.Quote:
