In the Groove

Anybody else psyched about this one?

It's basically an exact clone of DDR with all new songs from a new developer (Roxor games...I think). It throws some new twists into the game such as insane difficulty beyond what ddr ever attempted, 3 and 4 panel simultaneous hits, mines, and other Stepmania-ish offerings.

Anyway, sign me up. 70+ songs too.

apparently no one's excited about it since no one bothered to post in that other thread Chao started. can't say i'm looking forward to it, though, because i've never heard or even seen one of these around.

Ah. Didn't know that thread was there. 'Tis as shame it's being ignored. I've never played it myself (since I've never even seen a machine to try) but most DDR'ers who've played prefer it to DDR.

Well, the pre-order page is up at Redoctane and I've got mine in. Time will tell how good it is. If anything it is new blood for my DDR cab.

But, yeah, my thread is awesome. We should use that one.

Nobody likes Chao, that's why! Probably gonna get this. Unless Mastiff is bringing Pump around the same time... Then I don't know which one to get first... Although I'd probably go with Pump... Didn't really like In the Groove, only played both games twice each though.

Just a heads up. I got an email today saying this one just shipped. Unfortunatly it's slow-ass shipping so I won't get it until the 16th. I'll let y'all know what it's like then. If anybody else gets it first, fill us in on what it's like.

I play stepmania on my xbox for free.

Red Octane was at last year's Otakon pushing their joysticks. Hopefully, they will be there this year with a demo of this game...
