Might be interesting for Klonoa.

Are the graphics going to be improved any? Look smoother or run faster or anything? Because old PS1 titles look like shit.
I just bought Klonoa a couple weeks ago from a GS for about $10. The rest I still need in my collection.
Did the jaded trolls finish posting yet? Can those of us who care be enthusiastic about a cool retro collection without wondering if the thread will turn to crap?
There's no US release announced yet that I've heard of, so anyone looking to cash in on Klonoa might want to wait a bit. Losing one of the coolest platformers around (for huge chunks of cash, admitted) only to not be able to replace it would suck.
You know, looking at that list I think the only game I'd want would be Klonoa. I already have Mr Driller on PS1 and DS, and I'll probably be getting Ridge Racer on PSP soon. Toss on a Tales game and I'll be a bit more enthusiastic.
Personal enthusiasm dependent on graphic upgrading. My copy of Klonoa, which I got used, may be in the worst shape of any game I own but it does play fine, so without the graphic prettiness there's no reason to upgrade for me.

Eh... in this case I agree with them. Namco can repackage Ms. Pac Man and sell it every single time because it's still the ultimate version of that particular series, in addition to just being a damn good game. But these? A better version of Tekken just came out, a better Ridge Racer just came out, and there are a few better Ace Combat and Mr. Driller games as well. The only game in this collection that hasn't been made obsolete by its sequels is Klonoa.Quote:

I'd be getting this for Klonoa and Mr. Driller, and with a likely $20 price point if it hits the U.S., it would be money well spent.
It's a really good game, but the rest of the comp sucks.Quote:

This compilation would be a ton better if it included the Rolling Thunder games or Final Lap Twin or something.
Soul Blade would've been nice as well. Even nicer if they cleaned up the graphics a bit.
You're a better poster when you don't bother with the anti-troll nonsense. It's no one's problem but your own if you want TNL to uniformly enjoy and praise everything. This is a really weak collection, and I'm allowed to say that.Quote:

Thats strait up trolling, yet very true and awesome.
If it's a sub-par collection, we have to right to say so, yes?
This is far from a bad collection though. Is it up to the standards of the MAT series? Nah, but it's still better than many collections we've seen. Plus, this will likely lead to a Namcollection 2, and so on and so forth, which should please more folks here.
Face it, the collection sucks. Be honest. It's okay not to like it.
It seriously needs more games. The Rolling Thunders MIGHT have caught my attention, were they in this.
Such as? Like I said, this isn't a bad collection because of the number of games or anything, it's bad because most of them are just inferior versions of series that are still very much alive. I mean, who actually wants to play the original Tekken these days?Quote:

FX, I don't think the collection sucks. I think it'll be worth the likely $20 just for Mr. Driller and Klonoa, and the museum stuff should be nice. Could it be better? Sure, but I'll take fewer games done well over 20 with some being screwed up (like the MATs). I will say that this collection seems underwhelming considering that Namco put the arcade versions of Tekken 1-3 on Tekken 5 as a bonus.
collection games are getting very tired!
You're missing the point of collections and nostalgia.Quote:

Ditto! They've already deprived us from a perfect Rolling Thunder port by not releasing Namco Encore in the US.Quote:

Hell, at the very least they could've ported the original Arcade versions of the games.
But we're not talking about Ms. Pac Man or Galaga, which are still unique and worth playing, or Street Fighter II which is different enough from the games that followed that it's still worth owning even if you've played the Alpha or III games. Tekken, Mr. Driller and Ace Combat II don't offer anything, at all, that you can't find in the later games done better. Ridge Racer is arguable on this, and like I said, Klonoa actually makes sense.Quote:

I dunno. As far as I'm concerned, this is just a re-release of Klonoa (which is a good thing) with some extra shit as a bonus.
Knock it off. Keep the personal attacks in FC, please.Quote:

I'm all for this. Retro Ridge Racer is cool at least and plus now I won't have to spend a lot of money on a complete copy of Klonoa which I have procrastinated way too long on buying. Plus this will be a good way for me to get into the Ace Combat series which I have yet to play.
Old school Tekken causes blindness however. :yuck:
Doesn't the normal version of Tekken 5 come with the first three games as well? I didn't think it was limited to the CE.Quote:

Hmmm. Anyone think they'll release it here in the U.S.?
Yeah, I think you're right, the Collector's Edition was just with the stick and art book or something. Which only means all the more reason to not bother tossing in Tekken with this collection.Quote:

See, that would have resulted in further sales as you said, and no good can come from that, at all. I shudder to think at how many bought DbD to try out the Tekken 5 demo.
Agreed. I want both Rolling Thunder 2s (Genesis and Arcade) and the Genesis RT3. And where the blue Hell is Galaga '88?Quote:

Considering how many series Namco has that are actually good, they should stop Tekken releases all together.Quote:
