DOOM 3 (xbox)

Lets just get this out of the way, this is for the XBOX game so no need to troll saying how much better the PC one is and blah blah blah. We know. And if there is an Xbox thread please merg for I searched and did not see one so :p





So I picked up the Limited Ed Xbox game today. First thing I must say is DAAAMN it looks GREAT for being on Xbox. Shit I even kind of jumped a bit once...that never happens to me. The original DOOM games actually look ok for being ancient. You CAN play 4 player co-op at home with these too. The controls are even mapped well. I don't have a ton to post right now but the game looks better than Riddick. The gun sounds are kinda weak though. I'll let you guys now how the co-op is later tonight since my bro it at work and he has a regular copy of the game. I tried online but nobody is playing...I wonder why.. The game doesnt release until April 4th. It actually has a DO NOT SELL Until sticker.

It does run a lot better than I thought it would, I posted in the PC thread but oh well...

Problem is Doom 3 was pretty disappointing... there's no way I'd touch it again unless they revamped the entire second half of the game.

I plan to play it co-op mostly. But yeah, I'm really surprised it looks and runs as well as it does.

The entire game has been revamped for the xbox version. Not sure about the single player mode, but I know for a fact that the co-op mode was greatly restructured and tweaked to make for a more consistent game. Also, the game is not nearly as dark as it was before. No running around with your flashlight 90% of the time. Sounds good to me.

Cool. There's some sort of Doom 3 event at Northeastern on the 4th and I'm trying to get some friends of mine there to try to win me one of the copies they're raffling off every hour.

Neither has an Xbox, but I'd let them play co-op whenever they want... :( One said he might try, that'd be cool.

I'm just double checking this because it contradicts a review I read.

Doom 1 and 2 support 4 player split screen cooperative?

I dunno about 4 player, but I just finished 2 player Co-op.

online 2p co-op with xbox?

I cant say I tried it but the options let you put in 4 players for co-op. Let me go plug in 4 controller and try..
