Started it tonight. Just from the opening level, I can tell this is going to be leaps and bounds better than the first two. The beach and caves are damn gorgeous. Secondary and Opportunity objectives add some nice meat to the base gameplay.

Is this a prequel, or did they try to make him look younger because they finally couldn't ignore the focus groups of fifteen year-olds that said old people suck? Heaven forbid they locate the balls required to merely stick with their original vision. And why is everyone's walking animation fucked up, including Sam's? Also, three games, and three different control schemes for more than a couple maneuvers? C'mon.
But this is nitpicking. Very cool so far. I was really surprised to see this game didn't even warrant two pages on TNL. Tsk. I almost wish Bioshock and Blue Dragon would leave me alone for another week, and give me a fighting chance to get through this. Because once I lose focus...
Nope, he's still an old fucker. And Chaos Theory is the one game in the series I was able to finish beginning to end. All the rest I lost interest in at some point.
He looks noticeably younger in the opening level's cutscenes anyway.Quote:

Chaos Theroy has the best single-player mode. I also hear that the Xbox version of Double Agent is good but I only played the 360 port (which I liked kinda).
Pandora Tomorrow is best for multiplayer. Absolutely brilliant, in spite of the learning curve (wall).
