Timely.
I thought you left for good.
Also, SF > RE
There hasn't been a good SF game in 6 years, and RE 4 was awesome.Quote:

I thought Mega Man was their all-time best selling franchise.
Capcom hasn't even tried to make a SF game at all for 6 years. I don't even see how it's possible to judge.Quote:

This really breaks down to what you think is the better game SFIII: TS or RE4. Both games are the pinniacle of what their respective series can accomplish.
The Ghouls and Strider series deserved to be bigger than Mega Man too.Quote:

Only if you count CFE, CVS, MVC as SF games.Quote:

After Strider 1, some of the original staff left Capcom which is why Osman/Cannon Dancer is considered the spiritual sequel. I haven't played it and it hasn't been emulated yet.
Yeah, I was initially crushed to spend $30 on Strider 2, but when it had an arcade perfect port of the original, it's not a bad deal. The best way to enjoy Strider 2 is to not allow yourself to use all the shit that made this game too easy... like unlimited continues that deposit you right where you died, heh.Quote:

It's nearly impossible to compare those two genres. Fighters, by definition, have so much more replay and depth that it gives them a huge long-term advantage.Quote:

Four and five were good too. Five more than four. The first two X games were also pretty damn fun.Quote:

It's certainly not appropriate, but this whole thread seems to be about comparing the two, otherwise what's the point? Personally, I think they've both had their share of successes and failures.Quote:

Going back to the original topic, some of those franchise numbers don't make sense. I know the list probably doesn't include Arcade games or licensed ports published outside of Capcom, but twelve Dino Crisis games? There has been only three main Dino Crisis games. Add the Dreamcast and PC ports, along with Dino Stalker and that only makes nine Dino Crisis games. Are they including reissues too or what?
It was called Strider II in Europe I'm pretty sure.Quote:
