I agree with your overall point, I just really wanted to point out that the PGR series has really done something to advance the standards of what racing games should be. I also never really played MSR or PGR1, so I can't really comment on overall gameplay improvments.Quote:

See I didn't realize all that stuff was changed, considering I only played PGR2 and not the others.
The burnout series is much more arcade in style than the PGR series. They offer very different driving experiances.
Isn't Cat and Mouse a made up game? As for Cone Challenge, it's hardly worthy of being called a new mode, and is that really the best you can come up with to compare to things like Crash Mode or team Road Rage?Quote:

Still not to the same extent. You can play MSR and go right to PGR2 having never played it before and you'll have a decent handle on the cars. Try that with Burnout to Burnout 3, they feel like they're from different series.Quote:

Since it's more fun than either of those, yes.

In MSR, you got Kudos for powersliding. Nothing else. No clean sectio, 2 wheels, air, overtake, drafting, etc. That and the fact that the combo chain wasn't there is indeed a big deal.

You're right. Enzo Ferrari was not nearly as good of addition as "Green generic sports car with 5 bars of weight". Do you know what cares are in PGR2 and not in MSR (or PGR1)?

I didn't seem to have a problem. Of course, you would have a point with the F1 car--it's such a piece of crap that it is very different than anything I'd want to drive.

When there are multiple rails in the background and you can't tell whether it's road or not, that's a problem.
