BO2, and it's not my fault I never saw my opponents in that game while you kept running into them. Maybe you should try getting good and, you know, not crash.

As for "fanboy blinders," all you've done is act like PGR2 gives you head and BO3 killed your dog. I said I loved PGR2 earlier in this thread while you've done nothing but try to derail the thread and present a one-sided opinion on how good some other game is while bashing the topic series.

Uh...they're still BEHIND me. The time they are behind doesn't depnd much on your skill. Keep doing C). If you didn't want an answer to "Name one series that blah blah blah"...DON'T ASK THE QUESTION! Especially when there is such an easy answer. And with that, I don't say anything more on this topic as BO4 doesn't excite me that much.

You never gave an answer. All you did was try to give reasons as to why you thought PGR2 was better than Burnout 3, even resorting to making a number of responses, "PGR2 is more fun because it does this and this!"

Tell me how MSR->PGR or PGR->PGR2 had more differences and evolution than Burnout->Burnout 2 or Burnout 2-> Burnout 3 and I'll drop it. Not how much fun you had, not how worthy is a specific car, not why you didn't like a single track in Burnout 3 because a couple parts were hard to see therefore you lost the ability to see rails in the entire game... none of that. I asked a question and if you're going to answer it you should do so. Quit beating around the bush because of what you prefer.

Need for Speed has seem a much more drastic overhaul this generation.

Doesn't make it worthwhile, though :/

Are you counting all the games with the title NFS or the underlying groupings? I consider things like Underground seperate from Hot Pursuit because they're obviously only labelled together for marketing reasons, but you could argue them as a whole.

I was mostly pointing out that change/evolution/overhauling doesn't equate to quality. I'm not sure if that was the point you originally intended anyway.

Though I don't see why Underground isn't the same series as Hot Pursuit (while I can see why V-Rally obviously isn't).

No. It was that someone labelled Burnout as an "upgrade series" simply because there was another installment coming, despite the fact that so far each version has been more different than the last more so than any other racing series I could think of.

Underground was about decorating your car and doing mini-games between races (drag racing was like an extended Wario Ware spot and the powersliding exercises were just dumb) whereas Hot Pursuit - well, Hot Pursuit 2 anyway - was about trying to mix the straight-racing style of other NFS games like Porsche with James-Bond-like thrills (helicoptors dropping bombs seemed kinda random).

If you take out Underground (I haven't played V-Rally) - which doesn't feel in any way, shape or form to me like an NFS game aside from it having cars - a lot of the series is extremely similar. Occasionally there are break-off points where they try something completely different and it feels like they put the NFS title onto an unrelated game to guarentee some sales. But they are still under the same moniker so it's not like I'll argue that they're seperate, it's just the way I consider them when talking/shopping/whatever about them.

NFS started as a super car racing game, then turned into a gimmick run-from-cops game, and then turned into a gimmick ricer game. Hot Pursuit and Underground have similar feels and the same bland approach to racing that requires zero technique + wall riding. I feel safe throwing them in the same bunch.

I just hope that the car selection is better than 3 was, and I'd like for the "Super Car" from 2 to make a return.

Other than that......3 was pretty much perfect.
