One is a fighting game in the Smash Brothers vein for the GC and PSP, and the other is a DS game that plays more like the first two. Touch screen functionality is minimal, involves the new VFX power, split screen.
I still want a real VJ3, but these will fill the void nicely.
I want to hug Capcom for this and their new FanPimp site, which gets more entertaining by the minute.

Why no SSBM-type action on DS?
It will be interesting to see how the DS handles the visuals. It is a very good 2D machine, but I dunno. It just seems more instantly suited to the PSP but maybe the DS hardware has more tricks than we think.
And a VJ action/SSBM style fighter will be a great party game.
