What do you do?

I now have 3 glorious jobs, still a card merchediser for american greetings, where i build and merchendise card fixtures, and them have to take them apart and rebox the card wehn we realize that the warehouse sent us the wrong fixtures. Its fun though and i like my coworkers and the pay is pretty good when there are any hours.

job 2 is a front end head at a local grocery store where i basicly do just about everything from slicing bread and writing on cakes to running lottery numbers and western union and cashiering and bagging. co-workers are fun, pay stinks, but the benefits are very very good,a nd being occasionally hit on by 18 year olds is fun/very very wrong.

finally my newest job that actually is in my field is as a pert time counseler at a local group home for at risk teenagers. pay good, hours are horrible but there is good chance for advancement. the kids are fun but manipulative as all hell.

what i want to be doing..and am in the early processes of making another run at is the roman catholic priesthood. last time i got deflected by a recruiter who recently got booted by the parish for kicking off too many qualified applicants(gee, could have told them that one), so im making a run at it, the only downside is, the priest who was my "mentor" in the vocation has since moved on to another area in the dioscese, and the new priest at my parish, while a nice guy, dosent know me well, so i kind of have to do a reintroduction period before restarting my vocation.

Just make sure you're a good public speaker who can own a room. If you're not, then being a priest is probably a disservice to your kind.

I work for Barnes and Noble (all over the place, Customer Service, Cashwrap, Cafe, Receiving) about 20 hours a week. I attend Raritan Valley Community College in New Jersey and I just found out today that I was accepted to Rutgers College for the fall.

Yeah, for real. Pay in the military isn't shit (although people think it is, and that's why there's a lot of bankruptcy and bad credit and stuff going on with military personal). You gotta pay for all your equipment for the most part, they just give you a college-like dorm place to live and that's it.

It's the home of Imperial Sugar, if you northerners get that stuff. Sugar used to be grown there, but then the TDC (Texas Dept. of Corrections... the Prison) took over most of that land. Sugar was later grown in South America and shiped to the processing plant to be distributed. Then the processing plant closed and now, the Prison doesn't even use the land so it's all becoming shopping centers. The name of the town once fit it, but now it would be more accurate if you called it Shoppingville Perhaps Oil Land, since Flour Daniel and Schlumberger call the place home. Because of those two, and the fact that most all local television folk, athletes (David Carr is one of my regular customers at Gamestop... he plays Crimson Skies on Live.. but I don't give out the tag. Yeah, he plays Madden too) and any other person of money who wants to strech their legs and not live in Houston proper usually pick Sugar Land as a place to live. Shaq has a home there too.

It's a pretty richy-jerkoff place. I loathe it, but I loathe the traffic getting into Houston more so I stay there more often than not.

It's such an awesome name. When I ride into Toronto to do my internship I pass Red Path sugar. I secretely long to work in the sugar factory. I know I have an unrealistic idea of what working in a sugar factory is like but I can't help it. I'm imagining sugar balls, sugar forts, sugar angels, surfing down the sugar chutes on a surf board. I even have a joke lined up for lunch time for my coffee. When they ask if I take one sugar or two I'm going to say: "I don't like sugar, none for me thanks." I imagine it will be a hit with my co-workers and we'll be laughing about it for a good 30 seconds.

My friend on the line is going to be named Pete, or Gus. I haven't quite decided yet. It may be Bill, because everywhere I've worked thus far there's always been a guy named Bill. But Bill might be our boss, so that's up in the air. Anyway, it will be our job to stir the sugar for some reason. When old man Bill isn't on our backs we'll probably get into sugar fights. I imagine we'll have to wear hard hats of some sort, so when Gus is in the bathroom I'll fill his hat up with sugar and wait for him to come out and put it on. I think we all know what happens next: HILARITY! Oh Pete, you fall for it every time.

The Factory here looks pretty run down.

Not here. Here it is a heavenly shade of white, with shiny glass in the upper left hand corner of the building, presumably the office where all of the suits get down to business. And at night it is a sight to behold, let me tell you. The crisp red lettering of the name Red Path stands out to the city like a beacon of purity in the night's sky. Coming back from Toronto at night makes my day complete, allowing me to breath easy on the long ride home.

Anyway, Sugarland is a great name, you're lucky. Although it sounds like a shit hole.

I heard some lady from Chicago call it the Beverly Hills of Houston. I fucking wanted to slap her. It has lots ot wealthy people and all, but it's a shite place to find yourself (absolutely boring).
