Well, with the release yesterday of Jade Empire, and the recent release of God of War, it looks like that just about does it for this generation.
Now granted, I don't have any release lists near me, but all I can think of that I am still looking forward to are Wrestlemania 21 on the Xbox (and I don't exactly have high hopes for that one) Day of Reckoning 2, and Killer 7.
Is there anything cool still coming out for GC/PS2/Xbox?
Nothing on consoles at all really. Guild Wars is the next major release on PC.
Mario Baseball. Duh.
As far as hype goes, there's still Forza and Stubbs the Zombie for the Xbox, and Destroy All Humans...Zelda for GC, and that's about all I can think of.
Maybe Zelda GC and Fire Emblem GC. And Namco v Capcom. And I guess you could count the Halo 2 update that it will be sold in the coming months, depending on how much you like Halo 2.

GTA: SA on the Xbox if you passed on the PS2 one (and even if you didn't.)
Shining Force Neo, Wild Arms: Alter Code F and Wild Arms 4 for PS2 RPG fans. We're coming up with more than I expected...
FF12 which does look good, and people still hope for it. Except for the regular Square-hate crowd.

I'm picking up a DS and am looking forward to using this console release respite to catch up on stuff/get beatmania set up.
But once I get the PSP, which is waiting for one more guy so I don't know when that will happen, and the DS in a month I'll have lots to buy. Meteos, the GBA xcom game, into the blue, Castlevania DS...likely get the new Mario Kart, Animal Crossing/Advance Wars, and Age of Kings DS.
Otherwise I'm not excited about much but Zelda, which as tired as the current games feel still excites me like that movie render Ganon/Link fight excited me oh so many e3's ago.
Though it's not anything that most here will play, that Snoop Dogg/John Singleton game and the 50 Cent game will likely sell a metric fuckton if they're halfway playable.

I'll be buying some $20 games in the coming months. I can rarely bring myself to spend $50 on a game unless it's a favorite series of mine. So Kingdom Hearts 2, Zelda, and Burnout Revenge are the only ones yet to come out that I'll be buying this year.
Darkwatch and Advent Rising. I don't have huge expectations for either, but I'm interested.
Edit: Did anyone mention Conker? Perhaps no one cares anymore. But here's another that I forgot about -- Call of Cthulhu.

Im big on PC-type games, and even I realize this. The only, only, only thing that PCs have over consoles consistently is graphics. Consoles have a lot more variety, a lot more diversity, and playing on a couch with a huge screen beats the shit out of playing on a monitor. PCs used to have online as a big advantage but the gap is closing fast. The PC market has also gentrified to the point of suffocation, if youre not Blizzard/Valve/id/EA then you dont have much of a chance. Thats not a good thing, no matter how good the games those companies release are. I dont know why PC people are such dumb, blind fanboys that they cant realize this.Quote:

It's about personal preference; some people like the controller better than the keyboard and mouse, I know I do. That being said, I'd never play an RTS on a console (again, okay I tried the C&C on PS1 and it sucked).
