Maybe for the teenages, but any character over the age of 20 tends to have a deep voice in a Japanese track. For example, one of the main female villains in Stella Deus has a deep, sexy voice in Japanese, but the English dub is high and nasal, which does hurt her character a bit since she was essentially built around her voice. I had to play Sonic Adventure on the DC with Japanese voices. The way they didn't even TRY to synch the mouth movements to the english track was killing me. Plus, the voice acting was ass. I'd rather hear gibberish that at least sounds somewhat emotional.
