Mzo, SA 2 was great, until you got past the first, good level, and the game turned to shit. I still need to get another copy of it, preferably for cheap, since I gave my copy to a friend without realizing just what game I gave him.
"MAR-EEE-A! YES, THAT IS THE PASSWORD!"
IBTN. I forgot what I traded this game for, but I remember feeling I was ripping off Gamestop.Quote:

WHY DO YOU WANT TO GET ANOTHER COPY OF THE GAME??!!
For series completion, and to see if time has been kind to the game.
If you were missing Sonic Adventure 2 from your Sonic collection, no one would blame you for it.Quote:

And no, Jeremy, even the first level was a buggy mess, with tons of shit that Sonic could get hung up/stuck on, and shitty rail slides. The FIRST SA got a lot of the Sonic stages right when it came to speed/control/platforming balance. It was fast enough to wow me, had awesome "running on the wall" shortcuts, and some platforming/puzzle elements I liked.
They should make a game with JUST sonic, maybe Tails chasing him, with stages like in SA1 built for speed and crazy stunts, no overworld exploration shit, and NO OTHER CHARACTERS PLS.
THEN it might be good again.
The only salvageable part of SA2 is the traditionally so-shitty-it-rocks Sega music.
Series completion...
I guess that'll come in handy when they're displaying your shit in a museum someday. Heaven forbid someone comes to view The Collection and makes a snide remark about how it's missing SA2.
Honestly, I had this once, it's like OC behavior. It's illogical and detrimental to you as a person. Recognize there's no point in it, admit you have a problem, and work to stop it. Save your money for better games, or maybe even going out with friends and having fun.
Eventually every "collector" ends up in the same place: they have a ton of shit, feel empty about it, and regret spending all that money. Look at shou or haoh.
This isn't a dig, I'm telling you as a friend "Hey, stop buying bad games."
I went through that, and that's why I'm selling my shit (read, $5 CC games) on ebay. I think I've got all I need out of SA 2 since I have the city theme "Rolling around at the speed of sound..." on my Xbox, and can play it whenever I want. I just popped in my demo of SA 2, which re-affirms that I really don't need the actual game right now, as I've got the one part I could ever tolerate.
