The thread title pretty much sums it up, but to explain further, I'm having to do this presentation in French next week where our group will recite lines of translated dialogue from popular films and the class will have to guess what film it is. I've selected 4 scenes so far, looking for a couple more that involve two or perhaps even 3 characters where the dialogue is quick back and forth banter (I've avoided long character speeches due to translation problems and difficulty). I'm trying to keep all the films relatively popular so at least someone in class will 'get it'.
So far I have:
- Clerks (Randall and annoying video rental store customer)
- Pirates of the Caribbean (Jack/Elizabeth desertion or Jack/Will Turner banter)
- Office Space (Peter/Michael Bolton restaurant scene or Peter/Neighbor apartment scene)
- A Few Good Men (Cruise/Nicholson "You can't handle the truth" scene)
I've been having trouble thinking of a few more, I suppose you could say I'm not an avid movie goer. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
