All the sales numbers show, there are 6 million, white trash/fast and furious, neon and beetle owners who share a love of seeing what their next wal-mart paycheck can buy in aftermarket parts and have the attention span of a couch potatoe.

Gran Turismo has always had great driving mechanics. Half the fun of it is obtaining licenses and building your way up through the ranks, but the actual racing is a pretty good simulation of racing too. The combination of the two is what makes the game great.
Project Gotham, Burnout, Need for Speed and Forza all offer something different aside from this. They're just different. What I'm saying is that I don't get the correlation people are making between GT and white trash.
