Hello, my name is Kidnemo

I'm back on TNLOMGWTF!?

Just want to say “hi” to everybody and give a little heads up on what I'm doing now.

After doing the white collar corporate grind (web stuff, multimedia, print design, programming, ecommerce manager, and just general management) for about seven years, I now find myself without a job. I have known it was going to happen for a while now, which gave me the time to ferret away some money to live on.

Rather than find another white collar job right away, I'm going to strike out on my own and see if I can make all my “side” projects blossum to the point where they can support me.

This includes www.comet7.com, my online webcomic which is doing pretty well, but I've never really spent the time to go 110% with it. I'm going to be doing three updates a week now, I just launched the store (BUY A SHIRT PLS!), and I'm ready to start really trying to grow the strip and attract more readers.

I'm also starting a new online project which you can see the logo for here:

It's going to be all hand drawn, formatted a page a time similar to a comicbook, with a saturday morning cartoon kinda feel. Lotsa action, story, and light bits of humor. This is a lot different than anything I've done before, so it's well out of my safe zone. Oh yea, there might be zombies in the strip too, it's hard to say at this point...

And for a huge slice of nerdiness, I'm developing my own tabletop war/board game. This will have it's own site/store, and hopefully it's own community. This is more a labor of love, but it's something I'm having a lot of fun doing.

I'm also still doing www.moreevolved.com which is my main bread maker at this point. It's my own web/print/multimedia design company, which targets small to medium size businesses (PLS BUY A WEBSITE!).

So I guess what it comes down to is everybody comes to a point in there life where they can keep plugging away with what they're doing, stay within their own little saftey zone, and just keep existing. I've done that for a while now and I found out that my happiness is a lot more important than a dollar amount, so succeed or fail, I'm gonna try making a living doing what makes me happy.

There ya go, I'll be on the pc even more than normal working on everything, so I'll be posting posting on TNL again.

Unless you're afraid of me stealing your ideas and shit...I mean I've wanted to make a tabletop game for a while but all I have are ideas, it'd be exciting to see the process for a new game. What I really want is an idea of what it's going to be like so I can spread support for it.

Sorry to hear that Kid. I hope these new projects go well for you. To be honest it all sounds pretty far out there, but weirder shit has happenned. So heres hoping.

Thanks for the kind messages everybody!

And there is no freaking way I can take the chance to start playing WoW again. It's not really the 15 bucks a month, though that is a factor, I can't really afford to waste all the time on it that I KNOW I would if I started playing again.

Sometimes when I look down at the WoW box I think it's calling me back...

Wow...yeah. That was a major faux pas.

When I get it a little further along I'll give you an idea of what I'm working on for sure! All I have now is the theme, some basic rule ideas, and some initial pieces of art. I can use as many people to give me feedback on stuff as I can, so I'll will keep you in the loop.

Hah, no big surprise there. That site is sorely in need of and update, it's only about...three YEARS out of date. I do 95% of my business via word-of-mouth, so my actual web presence doesn't do much, other than make me look "legit" in front of clients...well, spelling aside of course.

Well Sabin is now going to be making the big bucks... so a weekend trip might be a viable option this summer.

Yea I do I totally agree.

I was mostly doing these two designs as test run to see how sales go, then after this I plan to do some more stuff.

Yea, this is pretty much what my retirement would've been had I stuck it out for a few more years.

Being able to wake up every morning knowing that I'm in control of my own destiny and excited to work on all my own stuff because it makes me happy is a great feeling.
