Who's in with the clubs in Philly?

CvC has booked a four day festival in Myrtle Beach, SC May 18-21st. Before that we'll be playing in NC. After that we are going to hit VA, MD, and we were hoping to do a show or two in PA shortly after. Unfortunately we haven't had the time to contact PA clubs as we've been working hard to book all the other states mentioned.

In the interest of playing as many shows as we can while on the east coast, please let us know if you can find us anything in Philly (or Pittsburgh) for the end of May. We will be contacting clubs there as well, but it always helps when a local puts in the good word.

Gah, Philly's far...Get to NY/NJ, man.

The Trocadero is the main concert place in Philadelphia, or the Electric Factory, occassionaly local bands play The Troc so they'd probably book you on a night they wern't tied up by something else.

http://www.angelfire.com/indie/projectunity/index.html would probably book you as well, except that's in Wilmington and maybe not quite as exciting, unfortunately that's all I have for you right now, I'm not sure if there's too much "club" shows in Philadelphia, all the metal concerts I've been to (not all that much but I'm getting back into shows) have been at the places mentioned. I'd say to try and contact The Trocadero and take a look at their schedule.

Don't go to Wilmington.

If you're going to do DE play at that bar place I can't remember the name of in Newark on the UDel Campus. The Stone Balloon.

You'll probably want to look into The North Star Bar, The Fire, and The Khyber.

They're three much smaller venues that I think are more along the lines of what you're looking for. I have friends whose bands have played at The Fire and the Khyber (although the Khyber is always 21+ so less desirable.)

You could also look into R5 Productions. They're an excellent DIY concert group, you might be able to get onto one of their shows.

It sure ain't Philly, but if you guys are looking for shows in PA, I can probably set you guys up in Wilkes-Barre. I don't know why you'd want to, but hey, just putting it out there.

I've been trying to network in Boston and get in with some people at venues, but it's been a slow process.

If you can:

bring people
give us at least gas money
have a sound system;

We will gladly come and play in Wilkes-Barre. Seriously.

Wait, Philly has a rock scene? I thought that place was all about tha Hip Hop?
