Next Year's E3

I'm thinking pretty hard about ways to get into E3 next year. I'll be eighteen by then, and my site should be up, which as I found out recently would make me an official member of the press. Anyway, I'm sure some of you have gone before, so I'm basically just looking for tips on getting in, the best places to stay, all that.

Also, this guy that I know and I struck a deal that if I could get him in, he would finance the whole thing. This guy is friggin' rich, so having all expenses paid would be pretty sweet.

I wish.

You know it's a lot harder to get into E3 this year than it was in years past. In most cases you can't even be a part timer at a gamestore anymore, you have to be atleast management. If you're site isn't getting exclusive interviews or recognized by developers and publishers to the point where you get review copies and such, you have about 0 chance of getting in.

Guy I know from school, actually.

And I know this year is going to be a pretty huge E3, but I'm guessing next year's won't be that big of a deal. The only thing they'll probably be showing off are upcoming games - that is, unless they're unveiling the new Game Boy during that time. Still, I think I'll be alright.

It's been getting bigger every year since it started, what leads you to believe next year will be the first time that changes?

I think you could probably consider it a bigger deal than usual because of the showing of the next gen systems.

Yeah, this year will have some coll things shown, but there will be more people next year, without a doubt.
