It's basically a direct port of the game, but actually even more impressive looking than the console because of the nice LCD screen. They even give you the nifty control option of removing the diagonals from the move lists because they know the D-Pad sucks on the PSP. Otherwise, everything is perfectly intact, including all movelists and soundtracks.Quote:

If Guilty Gear ever goes to X3, I wonder if it will have SF3-quality animation since it is so keen on following the Street Fighter path in terms of sequels and updates.
So, okay, wait a minute...Quote:

First, yes, it's a damn fine fighter, which is odd because it was the number one candidate for suckiness on the PSP because of all the moving about.Quote:

It's tough to describe but it looks incredible. Of course, if you don't like that you can switch it to the original display type, which makes the screen a 4:3 display with no perspective shifts.
If you really want to nitpick (and judging your HDTV thread participation, you will) the sprites aren't as smooth as you'd find on, say, the arcade or XBox version, but it performs more than competently for a PSP port. It really is an EXACT port of GGXX#R, 100 missions and story mode and all.
As long as the sprites aren't pixelated and blocky, then it sounds great.
I think I may grab this and a PSP if and when it gets released here.
I would like you to PM me with the location of the "store" where you "purchased" this. I would like to "buy" a copy as well.Quote:

Also, Chao, I can't believe you just compared GG Isuka to MvC. You're dead to me. Maybe MvC2 was in league with that shit in terms of being overly chaotic and uninteresting garbage, but even MvC2's stupid button layout is infinitely smarter than Isuka's turnaround button. Maybe you've forgotten, but the first MvC was actually a good game. I miss when Capcom made those.
Man, I should play Isuka again tonight, just so I can come back here and post inflammatory comments no one wants to hear about how much I hate it. Kind of like sphere in an iPod thread, I guess.
