Help ChaoofNee Pick Which College He's Transferring To!

After a year wasted at Polytechnic for Computer Science, and being at the end of my second year in the honors program at Nassau Community College, it's finally time to fucking do something. I'm going for graphic design and got accepted into the two schools I applied to: NYIT and C.W. Post (part of LIU). Post is giving me a bunch of moneys if I go in their (shitty) honors program. NYIT gives me nothing. I'm at a large crossroads here. I didn't much want to go to Post due to my opinion that the school sucks testicles, but now I'm hearing from others that NYIT is just as bad. Has anyone an opinion of their own or of others that they can refer to me in either case?

Just resign yourself to selling overpriced computer goods, marrying the first thing that moves, having 20 thousand children and becoming a carbon copy of your father. The Catholic church would have wanted it that way.

Go to the campus and REALLY look at things. Typically the departments that have the most money spent on them, show how much the school cares about those subjects.

I don't know much about either college, but if I were you, I would definitely investigate both colleges thoroughly before deciding. If you find that NYIT isn't significantly better (for the money), then save yourself a bunch of $$ and go to CWP because you will love it so much better not having an assload of loans after you graduate. My sister-in-law just graduated with almost 40k worth of loans and she is paying $400 a month, OUCH, that's 5k a year for the next ten years!

Neither of those colleges are near Iowa... so I say booourns to both.

I know a few people who went to Post, and it's not that bad. If anything, NYIT has a rep as a special ed school, not Post.

If you have to choose, go with Post, especially since they're hooking you up with teh cash.

I would go to Post, especially since I think the boy-girl ratio is a lot better there. I went to NJIT, not many girls, drove me insane. Even if youre not getting the poontang you need gal friends to stay stable. And of course, the more girls around the better chance you have of getting the cooter.

Both schools will give you exactly what you need, so just pick on semi-arbitrary, foolish criteria like the one I outlined.

It is imperative that you visit the campuses of both schools. Second-hand accounts of what you heard from either school is okay to get an initial impression, but it won't replace the first-hand experience of seeing them yourself. Compare the experiences and see which one you like more. If both visits turn out the same, then go with the school that's giving you money.
