You think that this beta, released a week from the release date will help change anything? This is just a stress test.

DLed the beta and at best, I'm underwhelmed. This is the same shit as PSO, just much uglier. What the hell does this have new to offer besides server-side characters?

It took me forever to be able to actually get to a mission, and then what was there sucked. "Clear the meadow of monsters!" was not fun, and the "meadow" was just a barren plain with a few tiger-like creatures sprinkled here and there. Combat was just as tedius as in PSO, and aside from the menus being microscopic (if you're not on HDTV), this is PSO, only twice as complicated and half as fun.

Sega has finally killed my interest in anything Phantasy Star, and in a way, I'm glad I tried the beta. This way I avoided wasting $60.

Fuck you Sega.

Frostwolf do you use Dvorak and just not switch over to Dvorak on other computers?

So the beta just locked up on me during the tutorial.

Add the fact that sega still doesn't have an idea of what a real MMORPG is supposed to play like.

I'll be up for meeting up and doing whatnot in the game tomorrow. I'm really trying to like PSU, but... hmm. I think the "like PSO, but twice as complicated and half as fun" fits. There's no explanation at all for all of the new options, and while I was able to excuse it in PSO, not making this more of a MMORPG after all of this time just feels lazy.

I also REALLY don't like how melee combat is now only one button without any photo arts, and how they seems to have made techniques overly complicated and locked them out from most classes.

This game is awesome. I got to the boss on one of the missions (the one where you fight the De Ragan) and when you teleport to the boss, the game crashes.

Fucking Sega.
