This game should have had like Dynasty Warriors/N3 type combat going on, not the same three-string combos we had in PSO.
I won't argue with your other criticisms, but this one's just not true. Did you do the tutorial? You get a technique which gives you a second attack - a double hit which knocks the enemies into the air and leaves them stunned on the ground for 2-3 extra hits. It allows you to do first two hits of standard combo -> double hit knockdown -> 2 ground attacks for a 6 hit string. That, right there, is more than you ever had in PSO, where the second attack was the same as the first, just slower.

I also really hate forcing players to play with multiple weapons. Switching between my spear and a gun, I'm totally cool with that. But, for example, my friend who is playing a Force has to have (currently) one staff for casting Foi, one staff for healing, and then a weapon to actually do damage with. Wow, remember when in PSO, you could hit the right trigger and instantly get your healing spell off? Now it's stop, switch weapons, cast healing, switch back, go back to attacking.
That is really dumb, and I don't get why they went away from that control scheme. It worked great.
