If you guys weren't playing on the XBox version I'd totally download it and play for a month just so I can say "Bleh" with experiance.
I have no reason to buy Chulip now. Last night I ran around virtual kissing everyone in the lobby.

Impressions:
+ Good textures for late-gen PS2.
+ Chat controls are vastly improved: gestures, facial expressions, etc.
+ Parties aren't automatically disbanded after getting back to the lobby.
+ Lots of cosmetic customizations for your avatar.
+ The camera is okay. You can reverse each axis.
- "Lock-on" is not a true "lock-on." By holding L, you can strafe in a plane, not an arc around the target.
- To use recovery items in PSU, R+circle+control pad. In PSO, R+face button. That's an extra step.
- Motion cap is weird... my chick runs like a gazelle.
- You can get separated from your party if you don't pay attention to where everybody's wandering off.
- Joining a group is not user friendly at first.
- Lobbies need landmarks and better signs, Little Japan especially.
- The menu text is too small for a console. I recommend PC or using component input plus a good TV for PS2.
To sum it up, the battles are about the same, while the chat/extras are better. PSU is about socializing with friends more than being enthralled by the battle system.
Are there casinos or anything like that? What's the point in having districts and huge-ass cities if they all have the same stores? (That's the impression I got from the demo.)
More to look at? I don't think there is a point. I've seen meetings rooms or blank vendor spots that I couldn't get into or appear to be coming soon.
I got online last night (PS2) and I'm still finding my bearings. I've been doing lvl 1 missions at the guardians colony. I wish I could use Tech and melee - maybe later.
I have to admit it's not wowing me like I expected. The graphics seemed better on DC.
Why they didn't implement the controls of the DC version is beyond me, but it isn't like hitting the O button is a huge adjustment.
RedCoKid let me know when you're on so we can exchange guild cards.
maybe they'll be used for special holiday events like in pso?
can i play this game on a slim ps2?
So much for Gears of War and everything after PSU being overshadowed :P.
ANyways I'll download the CDs and play for a month with Everyone who has the PS2/PC versions.
