I haven't bought a Sega game in about a year. I "continually supported" PSO in the hopes that, you know, they'd actually offer something to justify the monthly fee. They fucked up, so I'm not about to offer a free pass on this one. As someone here said earlier, even DOOM offers free four-player online.

If you have an Xbox 360, you either have Xbox Live Gold already, or you're a moron. So no matter what version you'd be playing, you'd be paying $10 a month. Thus, 360 users aren't getting screwed in that respect.

10 bucks more retail for a game that shows little graophical edge over the other versions?

Personally the online doesn't excite me at all. I'm hoping PSU has a "epic" first player like the genesis games did. Online will just be a pick up and play thing.

I'm not home now, so I'm asking has the beta hit Xbox Live yet?

It's an Xbox 360 game - if it is worth it or not, it's going to be $10 more. It's not like PSU is the only game doing this crap.

If you're going to be looking to this game mainly for the single player (no idea why, but hey, whatever), be ready to be disappointed. This isn't going to be the "epic" PS single player games of old, it's going to be "a much better version of single player compared to PSO."

You get voice chat in all the versions. For $10 more all you get is the privelage of playing it on a system that can do better and the knowledge that you need two subscriptions to play it. They're feature-identical.
