True, but those big databases will most likely have consistent data. We're not going to be creating the national ID from scratch though. It's going to merge data from multiple databases that have incompatible columns. Ask any database administrator how hard it is to merge two databases and multiply that tenfold. Even if the merge goes off with[edit: without] a hitch, the bigger concern is keeping that data safe.Quote:

Perhaps...but keep in mind this isn't happening for THREE years. This has plenty of time to be changed. I just think that a lot of the complaints people have are unwarranted (not this one you raised, but others that people have been repeating over and over in other places).
