That thing doesn't really replicate per say, it can just build copies of itself assuming the material is readily available.

I keep wishing I could run onto the stage and kick the robots over while wearing a "Human liberation army" T-shirt. I would run away screaming "down with the robot overloards"

Well I can see a time when robots will turn on humans and try to eradicate them, but a heroic robot named X will step forward and save the world. Over, and over, and over again.
