I think the only Shadowrun news that was reported was that MS registered the name. I don't think there was an actual game announced.

I'm pretty sure it'll be on the same servers as the PC/PS2 servers, but besides that the only other piece of information known about is that the only graphical upgrade for the game will be an increased draw distance.Quote:

And the more I read up on games, the more I'm interested. This sounds like it could be one of the best launches, or launch "periods" in quite a long time.Quote:

Yeah...I remember watching the MTV special (terrible) but when E3 rolled around and showed actual game videos, I knew I had to have one...I'm actually excited for this launch...I was not for the first X Box launch, but the 360 is different...
I hated the Xbox at first... felt it was one of the worst systems, with a horrible controller, and it would die a short death. Then MS got their shit together and now it's my favorite system. The system was around for almost 2 years before I got one, but once I did, it quickly took over my gaming time and shelf space.Quote:

Which made for a lot of bumping and grinding and starting-grid collisions, which was infinitely frustrating to deal with, but you see the exact same behavior online.
(This is also one of the reasons Burnout 3 works as well as it does, but that is neither here nor there.)

I like just running around killing hundreds of mindless enemies... it's why Doom and Serious Sam are more fun than FPS games that come out now... they each have their own place, actually, as I have fun with both, it depends on my mood.

Oh well, still gotta get it at launch.
This mentality has always boggled my mind... why spend all that money on something you don't really want that much? I waited for Xbox to drop price, games to go down, better controller to come with it, etc. I had no problems waiting because I had no desire to own the system before that. Why do people feel the need to own at launch if they don't want it?Quote:
