I felt the same way when I got the system. Everything about it was very nifty and slick --- the design, the wireless controllers, the dashboard interface, Xbox Live, etc. What bums me out about it, though, is that so many people have gotten the red lights of death, including myself. It really sucks to drop four bills and worry about the system holding up.Quote:

I'm happy you have found enjoyment in Halo 2, Brett. I'm glad your personal opinion is that it is fantastic. This is not mine, as I think the game sucks unless you are playing in multiplayer mode with people you know; and even then I'd rather play something else any day of the week.
I remember seeing that Galaga had a multiplayer mode in it too, but I'm not seeing where that is -- online or off. My fiancee and I tried to get a game going last night after work and had no luck with it. I'm really enjoying the game, but it really is a pretty barebone rev of Galaga with the exception of the achievements and leader board. I really wish they had included an option to set the image vertically on the screen like they did in the Playstation 1 Namco Musuem games.
Geen, i too think the Halo series is garbage, over-rated and blown out of proportion.
Also, i was very excited about Galaga, but 3 hours later i got bored of it once i unlocked 4 achievements! ;( the game feels very bland and slow....but then again it is a 20 year old game.
Isn't there another Galaga like game by namco which had improved graphics and backgrounds? the name escapes me! ;0

I concur. Although I view the current game selection as weak, XBLA almost makes up for it. I'm glad that Microsoft added the Active Downloads functionality. It's neat to play Cloning Clyde to kill some time while waiting for the Making of Halo 3 trailer, Galaga and Table Tennis demos to download.Quote:

I bought Galaga last night. I have no idea why.
